IBee is a study app for IB Diploma students. This page explains what information the app uses and where it is kept. In short: almost everything stays on your own device, and we never sell or share your data.
This information is saved in the app's storage on your device. We cannot see it. Deleting the app (or clearing the website's data in your browser) deletes it.
IBee asks for camera or photo library access only when you tap "Take photo" or "Choose photo" to create your avatar. You can say no and still use every other part of the app.
If the online leaderboard is turned on, finishing a daily break game sends your display name, your score, the game and the date to our database (hosted by Supabase) so it can appear on that day's leaderboard, together with a random player ID made by the app. No email, photo or other personal information is sent. You can use any nickname as your display name. If the online leaderboard is off, scores are kept only on your device.
When your tutor reads a lesson aloud, the app uses your device's built-in text-to-speech. Nothing is recorded, and the app does not use your microphone.
IBee is made for IB Diploma students, who are usually 16 to 19. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date at the top.
Questions or requests (for example, removing a leaderboard name): open an issue at github.com/arshdahbest-bot/IBee/issues.
IBee is an independent study app and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the International Baccalaureate Organization.
